Manisha Shanbhag

Manisha is a first generation Indian-American and was born in Spartanburg, SC.  She attended Duke University for undergrad and medical school, University of Pennsylvania for residency, and Emory University for my cardiology fellowship. She moved back to Greenville in 2011 to start the first Adult Congenital Heart Disease clinic in the Upstate. She has two boys that are 10 and 12, and two amazing dogs.  She has a very active family and lives on soccer fields or basketball courts.

Manisha is also very involved in our community.  She and her family started “Books for Boos” 5 years ago, where they give out over 4000 books instead of candy at Halloween from their front porch in North Main.  She also serves on the boards for Pendleton Place and the Urban League.

She has always had a passion for dancing.  She grew up performing Indian classical dance. It is very different from ballroom dance, so She is looking forward to the challenge.  She truly appreciates the impact Senior Action has within our community, and it’s an honor to be a part of such an important fundraising event for them.
