Andrew King

Andrew King was born and raised in Greenville, SC.  Since graduating from Clemson University in 2014, he has been in the senior health industry for almost 8 years: Patriot Hospice for over 7 years and recently took a new job with CenterWell Senior Primary Care.

He has played sports his entire life.  He grew up a runner and picked up cycling a little over 13 years ago, which he also rode for Clemson and continues to ride for a local team.  His introduction to the senior health industry came in 2011 when he participated in a 3-day cycling ride, from Simpsonville to Charleston, called A Ride to Remember (currently Ride to End Alz), benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association, and has done so ever since.  In college and a few years after, he volunteered with Roger C. Peace Paracycling.  Another charity ride he participates in is the Challenge to Conquer Cancer, a relay style bike ride from Greenville to Lewiston, ME.  You can always find him running around town and riding his bike all over the upstate.  This will be his first attempt at putting those muscles to use on the ballroom dance floor.

Andrew believes wholeheartedly that staying active and being social are the keys to longevity, which he takes to work every day in the senior community.  “They took care of us.  It’s now our turn to help take care of them.”
