Ted Phaeton is an Anchor/Meteorologist at Fox Carolina. He Co-Anchors the morning newscast Monday through Friday mornings. (Meaning, he wakes up VERY early!) Ted is also a member of the National Weather Association and received his NWA Television/Radio Seal of Approval in December of 2016, making him a certified meteorologist with the national organization.
Born in New York and raised on Long Island, Ted spent much of his life in the Northeast. Being the youngest of four, he chose to forge his own path which led to him receiving a Bachelors in Broadcast Meteorology from SUNY Albany in 2010. Before Getting a Job in television, Ted worked with a New York City Law firm as a billing clerk and weather consultant on active cases. Finally, Ted would get his first on-air job as a Meteorologist in Saginaw, Michigan in March of 2013. It didn’t take long for “The Mitten State” to freeze him out as he would accept a weekend meteorologist role in Greenville, SC in December of the same year.
Recently, Ted has moved from the Weather Center to the Anchor desk but still holds on to his Atmospheric roots. When he’s not dancing and having fun on commercial breaks, Ted likes to stay active by focusing on his fitness and rendering his workouts useless at one of the many restaurants in Greenville. A love of music, fashion and learning keep Ted motivated and hungry for what the future holds. His goal is to be Teddy Ready for whatever life throws his way.
